Dance has been a part of Frank’s life for the past 36 years. He is a member of the British Association of Teachers of Dance for tap, jazz, and acrobatics. He is also a member of the Dance Masters of America. Frank is a highly sought after adjudicator through out Canada and United States. His students have gone on to win numerous overall titles, scholarships and cash prizes. Frank’s professional dance career has seen him appear in many music videos, commercials and film. But his true passion is teaching. His goal is to instil a good sense of hard work and dedication in anything his students set out to do. Frank hopes to pass on his knowledge and love of dance into all his students.
Marie began her dance training at the age of seven. Studying all disciplines of dance, she competed both regionally and nationally in Canada, the United States, and Europe. Marie is a certified member of the Royal Academy of Dance and received her teachers training through the National Ballet School of Canada's Professional Development Program. Marie holds her ARAD, RAD RTS and was the 2nd candidate in 13 years from Eastern Ontario to be awarded the prestigious Solo Seal Award of ballet. Marie thrives on passion, discipline, and dedication and inspires her students to enjoy every moment.
Kassandra has been a student of dance for almost 20 years and has been teaching dance for just over 10 years now. She holds her teaching certificates with the B.A.T.D in tap and jazz and has earned her BFA from Ryerson University in Performance Dance. Along with her love of teaching, Kassandra continues to train, perform, and choreograph around the GTA and is looking forward to a great year with CDU.
Victoria has been teaching dance for 11 years now and has completed her BA and BSc at the University of Toronto. She holds her BATD teaching license in jazz, tap, and acrobatics. Her love of children shines through in her teaching and she is very excited to be part of the CDU teaching staff for the 2019-2020 year.
Dance has been apart of her life since the age of 3. She currently teaches students ages 3-18, both competitive and recreational and has attended many regional and national competitions along with various workshops in both Canada and United States, winning numerous overall and title awards. She holds her Associate membership with the BATD in tap, jazz and acro. Frances completed two years at George Brown Collage in the performing arts program. We are happy to have Frances back on faculty at CDU.
First inspired to dance by the late Michael Jackson, Nathan has been dancing since the age of 7 and is a versatile dancer who shares his love for movement with all he comes in contact with. He aspires to be a professional choreographer in the dance industry and also delve into the acting industry. Nathan has worked with many world-renowned professionals such as Marty Kudelka, Misha Gabriel and Kenny Wormald and Mandy Moore. He has been featured in TV Hit shows such as THE NEXT STEP and Disney Channel's Original Movies (Zombies 1&2), We are very excited to have Nathan on faculty at CDU this year.
Choreographer, teacher, and student, having completed a master’s degree in Dance Studies at York U, Linda has choreographed for such companies as The Shaw Festival, Rainbow Stage, Tarragon Theatre Company, and Drayton Entertainment. Linda is the artistic director of the Helix Dance Project. She is a sought-out guest choreographer and teacher abroad and currently a faculty member at Ryerson University. We are looking forward to Linda bringing her expertise to the students at CDU this year.
Eryn currently resides in Toronto and has been a member of the entertainment industry since the early age of three. She has had extensive training in all forms of dance with various teachers and choreographers throughout Canada and the United States. As a performer, Eryn has danced in various shows (including Fashion Cares, Molson Indy, Grey Cup etc.) Graduating from the University of Western Ontario, she also began a competitive dance team where she pursued her love for teaching and choreography while also completing her degree in Sociology. We are lucky to have Eryn a part of our CDU team.
Alex has been dancing since the age of five. She has studied all forms of dance and holds her teaching certificate in stage and acro with the B.A.T.D. She is also a member of the RAD. Alex brings a passion for dance to the classroom that shines through in her students.
We are very excited to have Melissa on board this year at CDU! She was a student of ours for 12 years and has several years experience as assistant teacher to many of our classes. She currently holds he BATD teaching certificate in Jazz and tap.
We are very excited to have Kyla on board this year at CDU. She has been a student of ours for many years and has several years experience as assistant teacher to many of our classes. She currently holds her BATD teaching certificate in jazz and tap.
Meghan entered the dance community at the age of three. Since then, she has trained in a variety of disciplines, has taught for a number of different studios throughout the Greater Toronto Area and has been on multiple judging panels. She is looking forward to meeting and working with the CDU team this coming season!
Dancing since the age of 3, Diana has showed all the promises of becoming a force. She studied jazz, tap, ballet, acro, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop at Canadian Dance Unit for 15 years. She has gone on to win many top titles, judges choice awards, and scholarships in Regional and National Competitions. Diana has trained with some of the industry’s best such as Misha Gabriel, Kenny Wormald, Marty Kudelka, Nick Lazzarini, and Shannon Mathers to name a few.
We would like to welcome Alex to our CDU faculty this year. She has been a student of ours since the age of 2. She is certified in BATD in stage. We watched Alex grow into a great student and are excited to watch her grow as a teacher.
We welcome Mercedes back to CDU this year. Mercedes started her career as a principal dancer. She was artistic director of Quinte ballet school from 1997 to 2003. She currently teaches classes at National ballet and ballet Jorgen Canada.
