What to Wear
NOW SELLING DANCEWEAR AT CDU
Dress Codes
For both recreational and competitive level students.
Girls may wear any colour leotard, tights, jazz pants, booty shorts or appropriate dancewear to Tap, Jazz or Acrobatics classes.
Boys may wear any colour t-shirt and jazz pants/shorts to classes.

Intro to Jazz - lightweight white canvas running shoes
Mini Jazz and higher - Bloch Black Elasta-booty
Intro to Tap and Mini Tap - Black Mary Jane style or patent leather tap Shoes (Velcro or Lace up)
Junior Tap 1 and higher - Black Mary Jane Style or black lace up tap shoes
Hip Hop - any comfortable clothing with indoor runners
Contemporary/Lyrical - barefoot or Foot Undeez
Acrobatics - barefoot
In Ballet class, the girls must have the following:
Intro to Primary - ballet pink bodysuits with pink ballet tights and pink leather shoes
Grade 1 to 3 - Margaret Krys blue bodysuit (sold at CDU), pink ballet tights and pink canvas split sole shoes
Grade 4 to 6 - black bodysuit, pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes.
Jr, Inter, Inter and Sr Ballet Technique Class - black bodysuit, pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes.
Boys must wear a white t-shirt and navy or black shorts with white socks and white ballet slippers with elastics.

All dancers must have their hair away from their face. A ponytail is recommended for Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary/Lyrical and Acrobatics. For Ballet, including Intro to Primary classes, dancers must have their hair in a bun at the back centre of their head.
